It all began when I moved to Nashville. It wasn’t really my first choice, but I went. And I spent the first two years planning a get-away. The third year, I was passive-aggressively settling in/still trying to escape. And the last three years, I’ve just “been.”
Nashville taught me more than I ever imagined, but still…the relationship ran its course. There are too many trails to hike, coffees to drink, breads to bake, and people to experience OUTSIDE of Tennessee. So it’s time to move on.
To where?
I dunno. Time will tell as things either fall into place or fall apart.
On the third night of this adventure, I found myself at Jockey Ridge State Park watching the sunset. I watched the sun fall behind the sand dunes, completely in awe of the colors’ play against the sand and clouds. But I looked behind me and saw this mass of storm clouds trying to edge into the scene.
I was struck by the contrast…if you just focus on one side of the scene, you’ll experience extreme joy or extreme tension. But life (at least mine) isn’t just one of those extremes…it’s this constant play between both.
So, in order to keep all of my people informed of my adventures and well-being, all of the sunsets, storms and whatever happens in between will be dumped here. If you want to follow along, go for it…it will all be here for you 🙂
